Such a great generosity

At Jazz Longueuil, a Cogir residence on the south shore of Montreal, solidarity is much more than just a word; it’s a concrete action that unites residents with the community in a spirit of generosity and empathy. Each season brings with it a new opportunity to reach out to those in need through various types of fundraising efforts.

In the fall, it was warmth that was distributed in the form of winter coats, providing comfort and protection to the most vulnerable during the coldest months. In winter, it was thanks to the unwavering generosity of the residents that funds were raised, thus financially supporting local organizations dedicated to the cause.

The most recent event, the third fundraiser at Jazz Longueuil, was a true success. Initially planned to assemble 24 fruit baskets, the initiative exceeded all expectations by bringing together not 24, but 46 baskets filled with vitality and generosity. Each basket was accompanied by a small bag of chocolates, a sweet treat offered by Jazz Longueuil, adding an extra touch of comfort to these acts of solidarity. The baskets were deposited at the Mosaïque de Longueuil where they will be picked up by homeless individuals.

This summer, the commitment will continue with the collection of school supplies, ensuring that every child has the necessary supplies to succeed in school. This effort reflects the importance for the community to support its members throughout the year, regardless of the season. Every gesture, small or large, contributes to building stronger bonds and creating an environment where everyone feels supported and included. And that’s the beauty of solidarity in action. Congratulations to Jazz Longueuil for its generous contribution to its community!
