The Humaniti Montreal Rental Condos Are WELL-Certified

Cogir Real Estate is delighted to announce today that the rental housing portion of the Humaniti Montreal project has been granted WELL Silver Level Certification by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This prestigious recognition has been bestowed by way of the IWBI’s WELL Building Standard program. This certification is the first to emphasize the health and well-being of residents in buildings where they live, work and play.

As we imagined Humaniti Montreal, we sought to create a living environment in which human beings would be the focus of the building’s design down to the smallest detail. This certification is evidence that we have reached our goal, to the great satisfaction of our tenants,” declares Jean-Marc Bélanger, vice-president of operations, multi-residential division.

The WELL certification is based on studies pertaining to the relationship between buildings where we spend 90% of our time and their impact on their occupants’ health and well-being. For the Humaniti Montreal rental housing portion to earn its WELL certification, it had to undergo an exacting assessment carried out by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This outside agency was retained by WELL to ensure that the building complied with all the performance criteria needed to ensure certification.

Humaniti Montreal’s rental housing portion consists of 314 apartments ranging from bachelors to three-bedroom units. It features some magnificent common areas and a wide range of services to enhance the occupants’ well-being. These include an exercise room, an outdoor swimming pool, easy access to beauty treatments and massage therapy, electric car sharing service, and much more.
