Foundation Cogir Donates Over $100,000 to Support Six Organizations

Cogir Real Estate has always placed a great deal of importance to its social responsibilities and to the importance of having an active role to play within the community. With this in mind, the Cogir Foundation began operations in early 2022. Therefore, we are now rather proud to unveil the results of the Foundation’s dedicated efforts during last spring.
The Cogir Foundation distributed a total of $100,000 to various organizations and projects intended to improve the lives of Quebec’s young people and new arrivals. Organizations and projects focused on youth education, sports and well-being are among the recipients.

By supporting À deux pas de la réussite in the purchase of school supplies, the Cogir Foundation has helped to provide young students with necessary tools, thereby helping with their education. Fillactive also received a generous donation from the Foundation to support its annual school activities. Fillactive promotes physical activity in young girls, contributing to their well-being and self-confidence.

For tennis lovers, the Cogir Foundation helped in the construction of a covered tennis court through a substantial donation to Philpott Children’s Tennis. The facilities will allow many players to enjoy tennis regardless of bad weather, facilitating the access to this fascinating sport to everyone wishing to take part. The organizing committee of the 57th edition of the Quebec Games also received financial support for the purchase of volleyball equipment. This assistance helped to promote the sport among young athletes and contributed to the success of this major sporting event.

The Cogir Foundation also took part in updating the equipment at the Maison Lémerveil Suzanne Vachon. This facility provides a safe and stimulating environment to young people living with multiple and severe disabilities as well as to seriously ill children, allowing its beneficiaries to flourish.
The Cogir Foundation also helped Maison l’Océane to renovate its infrastructure. This assistance will help to promote a safe and welcoming environment for newly arriving women facing challenging family situations.

This new series of donations is a testimony to the Cogir Foundation’s determination to actively support causes that have a significant impact on young people and new arrivals. The Cogir Foundation wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to all the partner organizations and to the beneficiaries of these donations as well as to all the parties that have made a contribution to this noble cause. These accomplishments would not have been possible were it not for the generosity and commitment of all those who share the Cogir Foundation’s vision.
