Cogir Foundation is proud to support Le Baluchon Foundation – Long-Term Respite

The Le Baluchon Foundation – Long-Term Respite has had a well-defined mission for 24 years now: to offer well-deserved respite to caregivers who wish for their loved ones to enjoy the comfort of their home despite illness or loss of autonomy. Guided by the desire to support these caregivers to the fullest extent, the organization has seen its activities grow significantly since its inception. Its services are accessible throughout the province of Quebec, without exception, and are available to all those who may feel the need for them.

The caregivers from the Le Baluchon Foundation are true respite missionaries. They travel everywhere and adapt to each location and family they assist, thus providing support 24 hours a day, for several days. Their dedication has been evident in the past in eight residences of the Cogir Foundation, located in Deux-Montagnes, Laval, Longueuil, Quebec City, Montreal, St-Bruno de Montarville, and Val-d’Or.

Cogir Foundation, which particularly values the quality of life of seniors, recently granted $15,000 in funding to the Le Baluchon Foundation. This initiative is part of Cogir’s ongoing commitment to the community and its desire to support organizations that work for the well-being of individuals and families.

The funding provided by the Cogir Foundation will allow the Le Baluchon Foundation to continue and expand its efforts to support caregivers and their loved ones. It will help finance respite services offered by the organization, thus ensuring continuous and essential support to those who need it most. This partnership illustrates the strength and positive impact that can result from collaboration between businesses and nonprofit organizations, with the aim of creating a better world for all.
